Women all over the world are passing on the Grandmothers’ Empowerment to women and the Cloak of Comfort to men. Sharon McErlane is the Grandmothers student and the mouthpiece to convey their messages. Although she is honored to share the Grandmothers wisdom, it is not her message, but theirs. I will be teaching you the core methods of shamanic journeying. You will learn to journey to the lower and upper worlds to meet and work with your compassionate helping spirits. This circle is open to beginners and those who have a knowledge or practice in shamanic journeying. Blessings. |

DRUM MAKING COURSE with Louise Farr
This is a 2 day drum making course. You will make your own drum with a kit from Tribal Spirit Music. I will facilitate the 2 day course. I have made 5 drums myself with the teachings of Carlos Gomes. My first drum (2003) was to honor our daughter who I miscarried in 1998. I have hosted Carlos numerous times throughout the last 15 years. I have attended courses in other regions of New Brunswick assisting Carlos. I will not teach what Carlos has done for over 30 years. I will come from the perspective of a person who has suffered many traumas and what the drum has brought to me in my life and I will also introduce you to ceremony and how to journey with your drum. For the past 5 years I have had many people ask me to offer a drum making course. Well I guess the time is now. With the wonderful drum kits that I am ordering from Tribal Spirits Music, we will have our first drum making course on May 5th and 6th, 2018.
Joywind and Robert from www.tribalspirit.com make their Native American hand drums old school, with steamed white ash frames which they make from scratch. They are almost round (98%), and made with wild deer, moose and buffalo hides. We will have white tale deer skin for our course. These are very close to what a drum would look like from 500 years ago.
Each year during hunting season they gather hides from deer and moose that hunters are eating and it provides food for their families, but don't know what to do with the hide. (these animals are not the result of sport hunting) Generally throughout north america many wild hides are thrown in the garbage. They have developed a network of butchers who put the hides aside for them. They gather them, apply salt to preserve them and then at the end of the season ship them all to a Canadian tannery who processes half into raw hide for our drums and the other half into leather. EVERY DRUM INCLUDES A DRUM STICK KIT!!
Drum sizes are 12 inches for $90. and 14 inches for $120. Please let me know which size you require for your healing journey. I will require the money for the drum by September 1st, 2019 to order the kits and the remaining $150. for the course can be paid by September 20th, 2019. Drum Kit Prices might change from now until the course, depending on our drum kit provider.
